Europa Studio Australia (ESA) is focusing on innovative sustainable architecture utilizing advanced BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) technologies to create energy-efficient Next-Generation buildings. Our new approach to building design and architecture opens new horizons by imaginative design concepts and innovative applications of today’s cutting-edge BIPV solar solutions.
Australia is a prime location for photovoltaic technology and BIPV applications with a great potential to grow (2012 – 2,3 GW). On a sunny day Germany’s sustainable PV installations fed 22 gigawatts of electricity into the grid, providing nearly half of the country’s energy needs. (2012 – 26 GW). Many have said, “I want to have solar, but I don’t want to see it“ or “solar panels are looking ugly on a building“. Architectural design often sacrificed for integration of solar power systems.
But not any more… with BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) Innovative building skin it is the opposite.
BIPV is seamlessly blended into building architecture. Architectural canopies, facades, curtain walls, roof and skylight systems are all examples of how BIPV can be an aesthetic element rather than a design compromise. BIPV approach of building design and architecture opens new horizons by imaginative design concepts and innovative colourful applications of today’s solar products.
ESA believes that Next Generation Architecture will be based on Environmentally Sustainable Design and Energy-Efficient Building skin.
Green Cities Weapons of Mass Creation 2016 Award Finalist, Sydney
Our Solarflower project became finalist in this innovation competition that rewards sustainable ideas, techniques, technologies and design
Solar Flowers symbolise our striving to minimize our carbon footprint in Australia. They were seeded in a very dry season – but now we hope that rain, sunshine and universal action will follow so that Climate can change for the better.
Every sunny days these custom-designed 6m high off-grid Solar Flowers will produce 6 kilowatt-hours of clean electricity saving 1,7 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The renewable energy is stored in Sonnenschein Solar batteries which provides independent power to run the water feature and LED lighting of the building.
Europa Studio Australia believes that innovative Solar Art can raise public awareness, effectively promote Solar energy generation in an artistic manner and can reach the hearts and minds of all generations.
